Grandote Peaks Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in La Veta, Colorado.
the course opened for play in 1988. The course was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tee,s the course plays to 7,085 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,608 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 595 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 157 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 595 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Grandote Peaks is # 10, a 170 yard par-3.
The course closed in 2016.
The course seems to have a checkered history of opening and closing, however, when it last closed in 2016, he has not reopened

This location is what I call Hallowed Ground. You sometimes have to back off the ball and just take in the surrounding sights, sounds and smells. Spectacular setting. Really good golf course. I have played here many times, Worth the drive. I usually stay over so I can play a couple of times. Off the beaten path.

I would recommend playing this course this year in the fall. Some drought conditions have existed in the area. Other than this year this is a great place to play golf anytime.
